A good Reamper?

So my album has been put on hold due to a plethora of sketchy guitarists who don't know what they're doing. I've been playing in an online band recently, and one of the guitarists are interested in helping me with the album. They can record DI, send me the tracks, and I can just amp it up through my rigs.

So I've been researching reampers. There's the "Reamp" which runs like $200, then Radial makes something for $100. What would be the quality difference between the two?

And if all else fails, what would be the dangers of just going direct line out into an amp? I know I'll have to turn the volume down a lot, but would the different impendence affect anything?

To get the signal safely into your amp, there are two aspects you need to worry about -- impedance and amplitude (and to those who know what they're doing, please step in and correct what I'm saying to the extent necessary - no offense is ever taken; quite the contrary): Most guitar amps are expecting a weak (unbalanced) signal at a high impedance.

The fact that the signal you're sending is balanced won't matter much -- the amp will ignore the polarity-shifted signal on the ring, I think, and treat the primary signal on the tip as the only signal. The main danger is probably that the level is so high (like +4?), and so needs to be attenuated. You may be able to do that by turning the gain way down before it hits the wire (or use an attenuator). I truly don't know what I'm saying when discussing the impedance mismatch problem, but I suspect that you won't harm the amp by feeding the low impedance signal to it, but that the sound will be affected. You can use an impedance converter to change the impedance of the signal.
