OK... I had noticed that the little kick/cymbol part was taken out in the beginning of the song. I haven't listened to see if he has taken that out in the new drum mix, so I don't really know if you did that or if it was a change that he'd made. Anyway, I will retrack it soon.
I took it out.... it gave the section more contrast between the intro and the whole band coming in.

It worked!

OK, then for those who will be using the new bassline, I will be coming in with the drums when they kick in fully, as in Bruce's mix...

And I will hold out that last note a bit longer, and follow the guitar back to the F# instead of her vocal....

The new bass line is going to be up in about 1 hour:

Let me know right away if there is a problem! ;)
Hey Rokket - I won't get to this today - sessions booked all day. Tomorrow aft is the earliest I can check it out... but I'll let you know!

Not a problem. I was just concerned that the next couple days might be busy for me, and I wouldn't be able to get to it again. There is one hickup toward the end. I forgot to lock the door, and my 3 year old came in and grabbed my arm. I don't think it's too noticeable.... :o

Here's another crack at it. I probably won't have the time to make another mix this week, so I guess this is my final entry. Thanks again to Ruth, Rokket, and BentRabbit for putting up the tracks, it was blast.

Is the bass the new one I did or the old one?

How? It's not my bass, so there must be another problem...
well, when I measured the pitch I noticed that Ruth's guitars are a little below the usual tuning and your bass is a little above the normal tuning.

Oh, oops, haven't been following the thread the last couple days.... so it would be the old one. I shifted down 15 cents or so and it sounded fine to my ears.

See if the new bass line will sit better. I am curious to see if I fixed it...

I tuned it to 440, so I don't know what to make of that. I can't retrack the bass, so I guess it's going to have to do. To be honest, to me the new bass line is working. I couldn't hear any pitch difference like I could in the first one. But I don't have any fancy equipment to measure pitch either...

Here's where I'm at with it... Some things I'm happy with but others need more attention... Just not sure if I'll be able to do much more to it...
I used Rokket's new bass line... Definitely better than the first, but I had to use N-Tracks pitch adjustement to get it to sit better with Ruth's guitar... I tinkered a bit with a Proteus Hammond B3 from my midi keyboard and had to adjust the tuning on it as well... Is there a Capo in use on the guitar?

Anyway... Here's my humble entry unless I find more tinker time...

:)

There is a capo on the second fret.

Ahhhh... That explains it... ;)

Hey... What are you doing online... Shouldn't you be practicing drinking from glasses with little umbrellas in them and wearing grass skirts?

:p

I'm obsessed with the forum! Help, Help I can't stop.

I'm trying not to get too worked up about vacation, I already can't wait to go and have no concentration for anything else. However, I have been trying some tan in a bottle and now I look like I have been playing in the mud.
