I posted this elsewhere but figured I would throw it in here as well..........

Just out of idle curiousity........

Does anyone know who makes a true free-floating shell system where the shell has no attachments and is held only by the heads.

Also, who invented the double kick pedal?

Can't say that I've ever seen a drum held by the heads. Yet there are several rim mounts .... Rims mounting system or Tama Starcast mounting system come to mind.
No clue on who first invented the double bass cheater pedal setup, but I'd like to thank them as it's easier to lug one kick around rather than two.

Pearl has (or had) a line free floating snare drums (I don't know if it's still in production) however, I don't recall ever seeing a free floating tom.

I have no idea who first designed the double pedal - I can't even remember which company first introduced the double pedal.

Remember this name.........Sleishman. He invented the d'ble kick pedal and has what is virtually the only fully floating shell kit in production.
