I had the Behringer spector pro, guess what tho the lights are on but theres nobody home. When i removed the front panel to see all those lovely tubes i just found a lightbulb and a hamster on a treadmill

From what I heard, they stole the design for that from Phonic anyway.

The only album that i'm remotely interested in what gear they used was Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream. Does anyone know what was used for guitar amps on that album to get those tones? That is the coolest friggin guitar sound ever.

I know they used the EH big muff pie to get that fuzz tone. There is a fan website that used to have the equipment they used. I would do a search I know James Iha used an ebow on a ton of there solo's. James also used one of those high dollar eventide effects units. I beleive for the most part they used marshall amps can't remember if they were JCM or plexi?

I am a huge SP fan. It sucks they split. I here Corgan is trying to reform the band. It would be cool. The last album "machina II" was awesome.

Is it the Spector Pro or the Spector Ultra Pro?
I don't want to downgrade my Ultra rack by putting in a plain Pro series Spector.

What didn't you like about the Spector?
A crack dealer told me these things were solid built and made by hand in Folsom Prison..US? but someone else posted there's a Behringer Spector pro too? confusing.

If its the Behringer model I heard, it might have actually been a rat and not a hamster, the US made Folsom Prison Spector's have the hamsters.
just Behringer cutting costs again...fyi.

good luck everybody

Billy used JCM800 amps during Siamese dream that had KT88 power tubes in them. Most of the distortion was a big muff. I know he liked plugging into the low gain input.
