I would just like to express my gratitude for this forum. as a newbie, this place is exactly what I need for all of those WTF things that come up in the home audio recording world. The two other forums that I tried before this one made asking any type of question uncomfortable. No matter what the topic I would always have to sort through all of the folks who seem to have come out of the womb knowing everything about everything, and then I would have to sort through all of the folks who think I'm wasting my time if I'm not buying $100,000 dollars worth of gear, and the maybe I would get the info I was looking for.

I'll keep trying to figure things out on my own, and I will continue to come here when I get stumped.
 
Well, they're right. If you don't spend $100,000 on gear, you're wasting your time. But- if you *do* spend $100,000 on gear, you are *still* wasting your time. And don't worry- your number hasn't come up yet. We'll get around to making you feel stupid for asking a basic question. We just can't insult and frustrate everybody at once. Wait your turn.-Richie
