FYI:

A friend musician stopped over the other day and we ran an A/B/C test against the Grace 101.

We did the Grace first with my friend playing a few bars on trumpet.

We did the ART dual channel next.

Then, we did a few bars using the mic pre on my 2816.

Results were amazing. The Grace 101 was the winner with no doubt in our minds.

The section of recording using the Yam's mic pre was the poorest result for sound quality, roundness, timber, etc. [no reverb was used]

The ART dual faired a little better but the difference on the Grace was much better too.

I post this for those who have an interest in the Grace 101 and to say that sometimes a few more dollars does make a difference in gear.

Happy Columbus Day

Glad to hear your results. The Grace 101 is my next purchase, in a couple weeks.

Thanks, Grinder

I don't suppose you might have recorded those examples, and might be willing to share them with the rest of us? ? ?

No ? ? ?

Yo Chessie:]

Yes, I did record the A/B/C samples and it's on my HD of the 2816.

I could put those few minutes on a cassette or a CD but I can't do it for the entire BBS crew.

I'm not sure if I know how to get it on BBS via a CD into my CPU.

But, if you really want a copy, send me an E-mail and I'll do one for you and YOU can put it on the site.

:D

Since I'm originally from Chicago, GO CUBS!!!!
