FYI:
A friend musician stopped over the other day and we ran an A/B/C test against the Grace 101.
We did the Grace first with my friend playing a few bars on trumpet.
We did the ART dual channel next.
Then, we did a few bars using the mic pre on my 2816.
Results were amazing. The Grace 101 was the winner with no doubt in our minds.
The section of recording using the Yam's mic pre was the poorest result for sound quality, roundness, timber, etc. [no reverb was used]
The ART dual faired a little better but the difference on the Grace was much better too.
I post this for those who have an interest in the Grace 101 and to say that sometimes a few more dollars does make a difference in gear.
Happy Columbus Day
