80-8 how do i hook it up?

i just got this thing along with the noise suppressor and a allen and heath board
a system 8 2416, to be exact. where do i start?

I'd help if I could but I have no experience with that particular machine NR or mixer, could you take some pics of the I/O on the recorder and the N/R?

If I remember right, the outputs from the board will go to the NR, then out of the NR to the recorder, and the signals coming out of the recorder will go to the NR, then out of the NR and back to the board tape returns or line inputs.

I'm gonna guess that you'll need four 8 channel snakes with the right connections on them to do a direct hookup, if you use a patchbay you'll need another 1 or 2 snakes.

How many output busses does the board have? what kind of input connections does each of it's input channels have? does each channel have a tape in? how about direct outs? and how many tracks at once do you need to record?

If you have the DX 8 which came with it it should be where RCAs go into the DBX unit and then out of it and into the corresponding track on the 80-8. Just so you know that DBX can get really hot so consider keeping an eye/fan on that. I dont know much about your board so I can't help so much on that.
