hey BPF,

Great stuff! You should put this up in 'the mixing clinic' too. It would be heard by more people.. The song is really good and the sound is great.. It makes me proud to own a 788! I'd like to hear about what your using to record the vocals... The sound is real good...

great job! Hey, wheres that other song you had up a while back??? That was real good too and I didn't see it up there...

thanks for listening b.sabbath...i use an AT3035 mic. the only other equipment i have is an old accoustic guitar and a cheap yamama keyboard. no compressors or anything, just plug the thing into input D and go...

I really like it. It's very clever and well put together. My only thought is that I'd like to bear the secondary vocals lines towards the end more clearly instead of the harmonies dominating so much. Really well done though.

THANKS FOR LISTENING...I'VE SINCE ABANDONED THAT STYLE ALL TOGETHER...I'M MOVING INTO COUNTRY NOW...

THANKS AGAIN...

GREAT song big papa,

Hey all you 788 owners -

Are you completely happy with your machine? I can see from this song that the quality is excellent, but I was wondering what some of the down sides to this machine are. How many tracks can be recorded simultaneously? Is it easy to keep track of all your tracks during bouncing and mixdown, or does it get confusing? I was originally looking at the Boss BR-8 digital 8-track because of the 788's high price, but I have found the latter on ebay for 500, and I have heard that it blows the BR-8 away. What do you all have to say about that?

Thanx
Curly

I am the bouncing god...(lol)...most of my songs use around 30 or 40 tracks...the 788 has VERY good functions to assist in the bouncing process...most notably, the SCENE LIBRARY. You simply press a button, then "save," and every track is saved, with it's eq settings, the effects are saved...EVERYTHING...then you can always call it up later, once you've assigned other tracks to the strips...it's really awesome...downside...if you like to do a lot of funky panning, each funky pan esssentially requires a new bounce because you have one wheel to control that function and you have page through screens for each track to get it's parameters up...also, it takes a long time to back-up data to an external drive...also, depending on what version the 788 is running, it can crash alot...other than that, the functions are ridiculous for the money, ridiculous in a good way, amazing and very user friendly.
