7 string tuning questions

i wanna get a 7 string guitar, but im very happy with my drop D tuning,

does anyone have sum 7 string tunings that I can still play drop D chords

and have another string in there to play along with or make my chords sound fuller (without makeing them sound deeper or heavier)

sumone recommended tuning the top string to B, how much heavier is that than the D thatd be below it?

If you mean re-tuning your existing low E on your 6 string to a B then you're most likely going to run into some initial problems, especially if you have a floating trem.

For a start you'll have to change to a heavier gauge and/or replace your low E with something like a 0.54 or similar. Next, you'll have to get your guitar set up again so that the action and trem profile are correct.

Keep your 6 string but string it B to B

look dude ... there's no mistery, just drop A (the lowest string dropped two half tones) your seven string... it's the same as playing dropd six strings...

Buyt WHY od you want a seven string?
