They've been getting lots of positive feedback. Good comments about customer service, too.

Wow. That is crazy cheap. Makes me nervous...but I asked for it. I just need to get a bit lower than what is currently possible for me on my four string. I believe I should be able to get the sound I want through my strings and eq but am battling with how far (low) to go with that thought. Thanks man!

And you're right...I should borrow a car and go play some! Thanks!

Ibanez has a 5 string cheap (around $450). I have one, it sounds OK but not great. Gonna have to trade up soon.

If you do, let us know if they're any good.

The OLP MusicMan knock-off ain't bad either.
+1 I had one and it wasn't bad. Quality varies with budget insruments so whatever you chose, play a bunch of them.

If you want cheap, buy used. You can almost always get a top of the line (or damn near top of the line) used instrument of one manufacturer for the price of a new cheaper model.

Cort.

Get a used Cort Curbow 5 string, it won't run you more than 400$, and it's safely the best sounding and playing 5 string in the price range.
