Hi, I'm considering using "5.5 bulk bass absorbers" offered by an online dealer. It seems to be an inexpensive alternative to rigid fiberglass. The dealer states that it comes in two boxes and contains 4 pcs-24"x94" by 5.5 thick 1.5lb density but can be compressed. I did a search but couldn't find much info on this product. I.d like to know if anyone has used it. Is it like the fluffy wall insulation? Does it do the job? The material is offered by Sensible Sound Solutions Thanks, Don

The guy who owns that company lurks in these forums. It's a brilliant product, which is friendly to the environment, and you're health. It is really good for acoustic treatment also. Talk to bpape(Brian) about it.

Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I've emailed Brian and he was very helpful. The cotton seems to be more cost effective than 703. I'd like to know how it holds up over time. Thanks, Don

Don,
Is this the stuff ?
My math ain't great, but isn't it about 3X the cost of these 703 panels

$134=cotton $195=703

For $134 which includes shipping I can get enough material to do two corners at 11". That much 703 would cost close to $200 to have it shipped here.
