3rd build...

Hello all, all my questions before were recording but i figure i'd throw my latest build up to get some consensus :o

This is the latest family picture, #0002 is just being finished and #0003 has just been started. This is my first arch top and i routed the neck Saturday. This will be my buddies wedding present, he better like it!

Thanks for the interest, it wasn't my intention but i think it turned out kinda sexy.

As far as hardware its going to be a tele bridge with a humbucker spot and a neck pickup yet to be decided. I have been using the Guitar Fetish stuff and its actually really nice. Its all going to be chrome hardware. I really enjoy finishing with a few coats of tung oil followed by coats of nitro. We will see how this thing turns out.
 
Arch-top? Do you mean carved-top like a Les Paul? I thought arch-top was strictly an acoustic/hollow-body thing with floating bridge and all that.

Sweet a name!!!

A carved top and a archtop could possibly all be the the same. My particular guitar would probably be a carved top due to the fact there is not a "arch" from the edge of the guitar to the center. It is "carved" out where you see it, but then goes flat after the carve. But i do not believe hollow or semi hollow has anything to do with it.

BUT my friend you can call it anything you want. I think this one will be called the "ArchCarve-O-Caster"
