3:1 rule...

Probably a stupid question, but does the 3:1 rule apply to omnis? All my mics are cardioid, so it's not something that's come up before.

PS - I love my Solidtube!

I believe so...shouldn't the same phasing issues apply to omni's?

Let's wait for the definitive answer from the pro's..

It applies ALL the time... even with a single mic on a source near a wall (early reflections).
