If money were no object, i would probably go for the orange. However there is like a £300 odd price difference between this and the cheapest option, for a cab with the same speakers.

How much of a difference will i notice between these cabs, anyone have any idea?

EDIT: Also does anyone know why the closed back version of the orange cab costs £150 more?? Seems completely ridic.

It's hard to know without knowing how they're constructed.

What I've been able to put together from those links is that the Harley Benton is constructed from 16mm plywood, which is adequate for a 2X12 if it's properly built and braced. The other two boxes don't specify materials but their weights tell a story: the Harley Benton weighs 25 kg, the Framus 22kg, and the Orange 28kg.

This indicates that the Framus is likely built from a thinner material than the Harley Benton, and the Orange is built like a tank.

All other things being equal, the thicker the cab material, the less cabinet resonance will result and you will get less cabinet coloration in the sound.

You might want to check the manufacturers' web sites for more construction detail. If I had to make a choice from those links, though, I'd say that the Orange would be the cost-no-object choice, and the Harley-Benton would be the bang-for-the-pound choice. And that the Framus is overpriced and possibly underbuilt.

Thanks dude. I don't know if i can justify spending 60% more on the orange although i'd like to. Guess i'll probably go with the cheap option and not be afraid to spray my bands logo on the grille! Still like to hear from anyone who's experience with any of the cabs if anyone has!

You'll get the same speakers in any case, so no harm in going for the cheapest one - if it doesn't meet your expectations you can go shopping for an unloaded 2 X 12 and use the cheap one as a dummy cab. :D
