$250,- budget for an amp. Any suggestions?

Priced somewhere between $425.00 and $475.00. Nice players...good bang for the buck.
 
I say try and find a used fender blues junior.... I have 5150's, marshalls, ampeg's, and a yamaha t-100, yet i still love my blues junior with my pedal board especially for a lot of smaller gigs.
 
a used peavey Bravo. It's a tube amp that sounds good clean and dirty. It was labeled "The Marshall Stack in a box." Ebay.
 
I vote something like a 50 watt 2x12 combo all tube like a Carvin (check ebay for a used deal) to get overall tone then dial in your desired scream with a distortion pedal...may I recommend a ProCo Rat, maybe a Big Muff Pi Fuzz, or even more tubes pre from something like an ElectroHarmonix English Muff
