Hi all this is my very 1st post and i am brand new to home recording (always used studios with professional engineers)
I have a quick question on this subject.
I have a G4 Powermac with Logic Pro 9. i am monitoring with AKG K240 mkii Headphones (not advisable but space and funds dont allow decent reference monitors.
I have just purchased an AKG Perception 120 USB condensor mic.
My question is: the AKG 120 has high-quality Analogue-to-Digital Converter (24-bit, 128x oversampling) onboard.
Should i also set my recording preferences to 24 bit in Logic to match the mic, or is that not how it works?
Sorry for what is probably a silly question but i am learning by reading these posts.
Regards
