I can recall some of the earlier versions and this song is coming along very nicely-is you're sister trading off with you on some of the verses? Getting a cool polished sound from it now, fine sounds from the Goddess too--very good!!!

thanks a bunch Tony :) ya that's my sister doing the chorus, but it's my friend darrel doing the verses

I know the topic is serious.. However, personally I like the drama in the bridge. I also like the opening instrumentals. I think its written well. I was thrown off when the first verse came in. Initially, the flow of it didn't sit so well with me. However, when I listened to it a second time, it was fine. Maybe because I expected it??? I don't know. I think its a Good song though. I really like the instruments as well...

I agree about VHS's left pan comment, only noticed in the verses on the lead guitar parts, and the guitar solo. I like the separation, not too hard, not too light. I wouldnt change anything about the guitar mix in the choruses.

I thought the overall mix was a little too bassy. In my car I had to turn the subs way down, thru my monitors it sounded more balanced but still a teeny bit high.. In the family room it was boomin!

On the production side I thought the guitars sounded good, your goddess sounds good, what amp do you play thru? Vocals sounded good, I disagree with ido's 'too compressed' comment. Drums sounded REAL good :) The kick woulda come out a little better if the bass guitar lost a little low end, the toms and cyms all sounded fine, and you got a GREAT snare sound, really good job on the drums!

On the performance side, I woulda made the verses angrier. Angry content, but the singing sounded so calm. Came across like he was singing at the bottom of his vocal range, so it's harder to have the power behind the lower harder to hit notes. Choruses and bridge were good.

Nice job overall!

thanks a bunch. i'm glad you liked it. :) i think the vocals come in a bit suddenly. when we play the song now we let a little bit of the verse music go by before we start. oh well, it's still a learning process.

thanks suprstar i'm glad you like it :) i think you're right about the singing. the singer is still learning how to sing properly. my sister is the one who took it up a notch for the chorus. it was a bit bland before that.

the drums are done by our very own bentrabbit. :)he graciously did a few tracks for me :) and mixed them.

next time i'll turn down the bass a bit. :)

i play my goddess thru a marshall 5150 solid state. i want a tube amp though so i'm saving up. :)

thanks again :)
