Hey everyone,
I'm just starting to get the hand of home recording and I'm sick of using midi files I find online to trigger my drum kit (FL Studio 8 PE and EZ Drummer). I have an old Boss DR5 that I would like to use as a trigger so I don't have to program through the piano roll.
First of all, how would I go about this? My computer doesn't have any midi slots, so should I get a hub that plugs into a USB port or just get a better suited soundcard?
Once I get it all hooked up, how exactly do you export the file? I have about 10 songs on the DR5 that I'd like to convert to the computer.
Lastly, the screen is basically unreadable if you look at it straight on. At an angle it looks like new, though, so I assume there is a contrast control somewhere?
Thanks for any help I can get!
