2 new songs, please listen and give mix advice!

I thought this sounded pretty nice. I loved those guitars - real powerful and they sounded great.

You could probably bring up the vocals a nudge.

Songwise - it's pretty long. A long intro - might be able to reduce the running time a bit? I dunno.

I am inpressed with the clarity, although maybe a bit bright in some areas already metioned. Very good pickin. To borrow a phrase from a reknowned mentor... "it needs some ass in it" down around the kick drum and bass for my taste.

Overhaul is such a cool song.

The vocalist is amazing to me.

I love the drums, especially the kick.

The verse is really good. almost a wildcard in the verse. I wanted to hear a better hook in the chorus, but oh well.

Good song.

Consumer thoughts here: ( not on the mix, just the tunes...)

Overhaul:

Vocals were the weakest part. Good guitars and the drummer is pretty good as well. Myself being a drummer as well, it was cool to see the accents your drummer is doing on the tune, REALLY makes a difference having a good drummer on a tune. The song drags on a bit after the 4:00 mark, perhaps consider the long version for the live show. Good stuff "overall" though.

Good mix. Maybe a little more reverb to polish it up.

The only other critique I have (being a drummer too) is the 'wood block in the next room' sound. Something more dynamic, maybe another snare tuned real high or low for some new funky sound would be good. I would go unique here instead of the wimpy wood block, IMHO.

Not a huge fan of the woodblock either...unfortunately that's our drummer's call...maybe I can add something over top of it to make it cooler.
