Okay, my step-cousin or whatever is selling some equipment 'cause he needs the cash and one of the things is a 16 channel mixing board. Now, I have a Behringer 802a, but I'd like some more tracks to work with, so I could like hook up the 2 mixers. Now, I haven't gone to see this board yet, I plan to soon, but apparently 2 channels are dead (was afraid this would happen). Is there any way to repair them, or am I just screwed? It's not that big of a problem, but you know... this thing has also been sitting around for a while, I'm not sure of much anything else about it. But I'm just curious if it's possible to electronically repair the 2 channels or just don't bother? Thanks a lot.

There's no way for us to answer this question but most likely this 16 channel board can be repaired by a certified electrician. Tell your step cousin that you want to have it checked out before you pay him and then take it to a shop. They can tell you there how much it will cost to repair and also if there is other problems with the board. It's not always good to do business with relatives so make sure you protect yourself.

Hmm, alright. I don't think he's trying to screw me over, it's a long story as to why he's getting rid of all this stuff. I've only met him like once, but whatever, thanks man.

Check to see how clean the pre-amps are. You would rather have 14 clean pre-amps than to fix just 2 channels. Of course you can fix the pre-amps but thats more money.
What kind of Mixer and how much is it would be the big questions.
