you might want to look at what M-audio has to offer, I`m sure you can get what you need.

You'll need a soundcard and a preamp for the mic.

For the sort of money you're talking about I'd prolly go for an M Audio Audiophile 2496 soundcard- £56 from digital village. That'll give you 2 analog ins/outs and digital and MIDI in/out.

Then for a preamp you could go for one of the real cheapy standalone pres or get a Yamaha MG10/2 mixer for £70 which has 4 mic pres and you could use it for headphone monitoring as well. There is a lot of crap out there in this price range but I've used one of the bigger MG series in a live situation and they're not too bad at all for the price.

That's £120 all in.

...........and you'll need some quality, flat-response monitors also.

I'd not buy from digital village if i was you...ten quid for delivery and it can take up to 2 weeks.

I reckon I've bought from them upwards of 10 times and stuff always arrives within a couple of days.

Where would you recommend with cheaper delivery and with the same prices on the gear?
