1/8" TRS to stereo XLR, balanced?

I bought a pair of rokit 5 nearfield monitors for my computer. Right now I've got them hooked up via an 1/8" trs to stereo RCA adapter. I've sen this product
Hosa CYX-403M CYX-403
, an 1/8" to female xlr (they aren't letting me link as this is my first post). Will this eliminate the noise I'm getting? Is it truly balanced?

It's not balanced. It won't be better than what you're using.

The noise could certainly be your current interface... I've not heard too many typical stock audio interfaces that are "worthy" as far as noise goes... Not to mention the sound quality...
