You guys really need to watch my back they are out to get me.
They say Dragon runs a tight ship? He seems pretty cool so far, he has not beheaded me yet. But the others ouch NO SENSE OF HUMOR!
 
Howdy Otter, glad to see you've made the transition from "the other side"...I agree, these Dragon dwellers do seem to be a humorless bunch. But they probably just don't know what to make of us...would you??

This board responds v-e-r-y slow, but it seems to have some good features the Planet doesn't. And, boy, do I miss that soothing black background.

So, I'm with you, I want VS-Planet back. Who knows, maybe Jeremy is using the CD comp $ to buy himself a new Akai sampler? But, if we do turn out to be marooned here for good...I guess I could come to like this place.

Actually, there's abut 2500 of us from VS-Planet. Hopefully, they don't all wander in here at once. You'd be surprised at how much useful stuff we know about music and recording. I know it surprises me all the time.

That's right, waste is in the shorts of the wearer. And the bigger the waist, the bigger the waste. We've got some real waste artists on VS-Planet. As Fred himself once said:

"The journey of 10,000 posts begins with the first 100, or so".

Whew!! Being exiled from the Planet is depressing, but does anyone have any idea as to how to get to the Planet's archives. I'd gladly pay $$ not to have to ask the same questions over again!!

One-armed Natty's here! Got the 7-month old tonight. Just about asleep, but I truly wanted to check in.

You boys sure do get in trouble fast! :) I would NOT have liked to live where I do now 150 years ago with friends like you. Would been in brawls and gunfights ever other night.

Now...what was Jack Hobson-Dupont saying about children cursing their parents and stoning and all that? Just kidding, fellas, even though I know Geet and Moon would just LOVE to talk more about religion. :)

P.S. I have always appreciated the respect you have shown me over at The Planet. Has always made it worth the time I've spent, as well as the valuable discussions about recording and gear. Looks like there are some good things going on over here also.

I had a 1680 for a day. I also had been using a demo of Cakewalk for a while. The 1680 seemed like it was going to take forever to learn, so I exchanged it for Cakewalk Pro Audio, a soundcard, a POD, and $1000. I do, however, have a VS880EX which I think is a really neat little unit. I also have VSPro Toolbox which makes it more like Cakewalk. Now I hope Sandwoman won't beat me up before I make it to the door.
 
So does anyone know the scoop on VS-Planet?
