Nice arpeggiated guitar... especially like the major 7th... (2nd in the progression)... nice recording, too...
Jeez... you even had time to "double" your vocal? Man, I shoulda coulda woulda just did a nice acoustic toon... but it never would have come out this good. Gotta leave this thread before things get bitter a'la jamal... lol...
'pretty tune bud. You sing good man. That guitar dont sound like no "run of the mill" wood it sounds smooth and full like a well made and seasoned craft piece . The bass is warm and wet. I used to sneak in the bandroom at high school and take the double bass and lean one end against a metal door frame and when I played it the double doors made it sound bif like that. I really enjoyed the tune..
This song even has a story. "losing your dope teeing off in the rain" Provocative man.... Some very clean and polished sounding guitar work. You guys are making me feel like shit cause I didnt do no vocals on mine.... Great job
Myx
let's talk.
Toki, that's my Martin HD28, only a couple years seasoned, but played enough to be 10 years old. he he he, the bass is just my little zoom 123 box. I might try your trick and put the zoom up against the wall. he he he he, I really don't like it much, but it's all I have for bass now. I had access to a nice old epiphone bass but my pal just sold it last week (he left at my place for a while). Got to get me another one. Thanks fro the listen.
Myx, thanks, friend. A lot of my lyrics come from a phrase or line that either comes to me or I pick up somewhere. The "pushing a rope, and pulling a train" part came from one of my best fans. He comes over every Wed nite and just sits and listens to us play. He's a DD for a bass player. Brings him around cause he lost his driver's lic. for dui. Thanks for the listen.
Erich, I have a terrible time with the guitar playing and singing so I track them together. It does not do justice to sound of the guitar. Thanks.
Tree, thanks for the plug. Is Noah coming. he he he
