Howdy,
I am looking into getting a nice 1/2" Aluminum Splicing Block. I found a 1/4" version on the ATR site but nothing about a 1/2" one. I even checked ebay but unless Im typing the wrong keywords there isnt anything on there. Anyone know where I can get a new one? And maybe the razorblades (non-magnetic).?
Thanks

I got mine on eBay...it's just not an item that pops up very often.

I think you can use any razor...just hit it with a demag.

So are the 2 that are on Ebay decent? I notice it looks like the 2 auctions are for the same 1/2" block but one is $34.95 and one is $49.95.

So does anyone have any opinions on either of those 2 on ebay? I have seen other splice blocks for 1/4" that had 3 angles... 7.5 15 and 30 degrees. So I would hate to get the one for 34.95 only to find out later that it could have been better.
Id almost rather make my own.

No need to tolerate the plastic blocks. Los Angeles is FULL of half inch, one inch, two inch, and even THREE INCH genuine Xedit/EdiTall aluminum splicing blocks for the MCI 32 track. Call Jerry Cubbage up at Coast Recording Supply, formerly of Santa Monica and Vine, now moved to the Valley. Or Carl could help you too.
