Finally,a guitar you don't have to change strings on:D Seriously, congrats, fine looking instrument.

amazing arvo... you've invented the.... er strat???
joking aside looks cool...

specs are it's MINE!!!!!

:D

it's a 25.75 scale ....... what's the radius on that neck Arvo .... do you know?

Gonna be GF p/ups with the strat Elite setup, a seperate switch for each p/up so you can run any combo of p/ups in any phase combination.

I just did that mod to my Strat (with GF pups too). It's pretty cool--I think you'll like it. I put in 60/70's overwound grey bottoms. What pickups are you going with?

The neck is a Mighty Mite licensed strat with ebony fingerboard, compound radius 9.5-12. It's been refinished on the back to tung oil.

The pups are GFS Premium Overwound Alnico Strats.

I'm gonna start asking my questions on the board so's everyone can find out.

apl ...... I see they have specific p/ups for the three positions.
Do the individual p/ups have a marking of some kind so you know which is which or do you just stick 'em in there and cross your fingers? I've wondered about that .... if you're not careful can you get them mixed up?

Yes. They're labeled neck, mid, and bridge. They're marked 9k, 9,4k and 10k respectively. The hot wires are different colors, too, yellow, blue and white iirc.

The pickup covers, on the other hand, were not labeled, so we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Be careful with the pickup covers! The plastic is impregnated with varying degrees of refractive shielding. Each of the three was designed for one position and one position only. Get it wrong--and serious injury could result.

I copper shielded the electronic cavities of the guitar and the back of the pickguard. The chrome on the pup covers is conductive, too, and grouded to the copper on the pickguard by the metal springs, so that should help with shielding.

Wait a minute...I was joking.
