the multiband is more of a mastering thing than anything else unless there's some very specific frequency issues as stated above. I enjoy the tube modeled compresser though. it's a lot quicker and simplified.

btw, I used a $4 soundcard for an additional track to record. (the kick, which I later replaced via triggering) no latency issues + quality was just fine.

Nice nice nice nice nice mix. The ONLY thing is the snare. It has too much character imo. I didnt really notice it at first but I heard the snare started sticking out too much later on in the song. <33

Here's probably the SIMPLEST answer yet: Keep the mics right up on the grill, have the amp Gain down to around a 4.5 for metal and 3-3.5 for rock/indie/pop etc. Also, turn your Treble/Highs down to around a 3, 3.5 and your mids up to a 7 or 8. Bass down to around a 4. <33
