hmmm.... ok... so basically (let me know if this is right or not) a compresser would work on vocals if i were to single normally it wouldn't really do anything but if i were to start sing louder it would stop my voice from getting too loud on the recording? do i understand or am i way off? I...

Why would my delta 1010LT manual tell me to hook up my mixer main outs to analog outs of my delta? doesn't make sense....

I'm really about to jump... I just can't get any audio to come through my software on my computer... the mixer is up and running (yay) and sending signals and such.... I'm using my direct outs for each channel to take up the inputs of my delta 1010Lt... i just can't get any software to pick up...

oh ok thanks guys... now I just need to figure out how to get my adobe audition up and running with everything! slow learning process huh?

from that website he seems to think that going from the subgroup outs to the rca inputs of the pci card is better then going from direct outs to rca inputs of the card? is this really better? I would think it would give me less individual control over each channel because the subgroups are...

ok... i see what you're saying... so with that there are, on this particular breakout cable, 6 mono (3 stereo) rca inputs and 8 rca mono (4 stereo) outputs, and of course the 2 xlr inputs (which I will use for my mixer's main outs)... i'm just confused I guess as to what I'm going to do with all...

why does my m-audio delta 1010LT have more outputs than inputs? what do i do with all these outs? i only have enough rcs ins to cover 6 direct outs from my mixer? a little enlightenment anyone please?

If anybody has the patience... could someone help me figure out the best way to hook up my mixer to my pci card? It's a huge question and I'll probably figure it out EVENTUALLY but if anybody can lend a helping hand it would be much appreciated... if I own this PCI card.... -M-Audio Delta...
