Ahead... "The World's Most Advanced Drumstick"

fair enough mikeh. thanks for your input. ideally i'd like to stick to my promark 5B sticks. but if im breaking them all the time then that's a lot of money i'm wasting. though i realize this has to be a technique thing. i've been playing drums for about 9 years and i never used to break...

Ahead... "The World's Most Advanced Drumstick"

these ones dont seem as hard on the cymbals as aluminum sticks because they have some carbon like sleeve that covers the stick. the purpose is that you always replace the carbon/plastic sleeves. i dont know if i like them yet either. they have a plastic tip, so they sound sound much different.

Ahead... "The World's Most Advanced Drumstick"

OKay... so I have been breaking sticks like crazy lately. Anyways, I bought Ahead's Aluminum 5B-LTD stick for $45 (canadian). The shaft is skinnier for the most of the stick, and there is a plastic/wood composite cover that is replacable. It's good because now, the covers last longer, and...

    For all you old guys

i have never worked with analog units for recording... so I cannot say how much harder it actually is. but as you guys have more experience, i do believe that digital has made things a lot easier and cheaper on our part. i guess in a way it seems unfair, because digital home recording systems...

    the colours of noise

hi there, i know that the colours of noise are basically a constantly playing set of frequencies, and each has it's own purpose... but in laymans terms, what are they all for. ive heard of people using noise to acoustically tune a room. what are the other uses? i did a bit of research, and...

really? i thought it would help in studio use. not that you have to max out the knobs, but it being present would clear things up a bit. ?

    behringer compressors ...MDX1600

thank you. that's good to hear... but i disagree about behringer. i like them a lot. i believe people relate their quality to how cheap their stuff is. their stuff is so cheap because they copy designs and sell a lot. i bet if behringer chose to make their stuff more expensive, closer to...

    BBE Sonic Maximizers?

Anybody here use BBE Sonic Maximizers? I've read a lot of good reviews on them, but I'm wondering what your experience is with them. I was thinking of getting the 482i for my guitar setup. It would go right before my amp after all my effects. Or is this a waste of money? Thanks

    behringer compressors ...MDX1600

behringer compressors I've read that Behringer's compressors are decent. What do you guys think of using this in my guitar setup? I mainly want it for the 2-channel compressor, but it has other cool features too. BEHRINGER AUTOCOM PRO-XL MDX1600...

    Beringer's eurorack and eurodesk mixers

I agree completely... they sell like crazy... of course some aren't going to work. I have 3 behringer mixers... Two baby UB802 mixers... and one giant MX3282A. That thing rocks! Keep in mind Behringer copies almost everything they make. Not just the looks, but the circuitry and everything...

okay ive created a simpler setup idea to do this. what do you guys think of this is idea? CLICK HERE TO SEE PIC this eliminates any colouration of signal from mixer and DI box. then i can mic the amp. i read a vunch of reviews on the whirlwind selectors and they do not colour the signal...
