So I've been using the Tascam US-144 to record my vocals. However, it's been a while now and I try using it again but my laptop is not recognizing the device. I look at the details and it states (Code 43). can anybody tell me what the means or how it can be fixed?
Thanks.
PS. I've tried...

I am using a Tascam US-144 and FL Studio 9 XXL, and sometimes Audacity. The sound works for both sides for sounds from the computer, only doesn't on the playback.
Sorry about that.
Mic, Studio monitors, and Headphones>Interface>Computer
I tried pluggin' the headphones into the 1/8 in. slot on the speakers too but I got the same results.
This is pretty strange. My studio headphones work well, you can hear sounds on both sides when just using it to listen to music on computer and iPod. But when I speak on my mic, you can only hear the playback on one side. What is the problem?
Thanks, I appreciate any help.
I have all the basic things I need to record so now I am looking more into the soundproofing. I don't have a vocal booth nor closet I canuse as one. I am just gonna record in my room. What are some things I can do to get good soundproofing? Will cupholders be a cheap and effective way? Thanks...
Well I'm on a budget since I am also attending college at the moment.
My mic is a CAD GXL 2200 (thinking of getting another mic, maybe AKG Perception)
Studio monitors: M-Audio Studiophile AV 40 (Works well for me)
Tascam US-144
Thanks for all the input, I agree on learning to use all the...
I have been buying some equipment for a small project home studio.

What should I invest in next? Thanks
I just recently bought a Tascam US-144 and it came with a Cubase software. However I am running the interface with Fruity Loops 9 Producer Edition. But I can't hear any sound when I connect my headphones to the interface. Any help?
Am I able to use the Cubase on two computers since I have two...
I recently bought a CAD GXL2200. I had it on my stand but it accidentally fell. Now the grill is dented. Anybody knows how I can go about fixing this? Please help. Thanks
Yeah I know someone who is able to build one, but of course we all know it probably won't be as good as the ones we buy at stores. I think I'll settle for a desktop, since it is much cheaper, and I guess much easier to upgrade. Thanks
PS I am recording vocals. Maybe production of beats later on.
