How can I find out the vintage of my SVT? It has two channels, with "bright" and "normal" inputs for each channel. The left channel has one more EQ control (mids) than the right, and there are rocker switches up over the tone controls on both channels.

On my Strat, I flipped the metal piece that holds the output jack so that now it's an "outie" instead of an "innie" (it still points away from the pickups, of course). Now I can easily grab the plug itself when I disconnect the cord from the guitar instead of pulling on the cable.

Anybody out there have a used Shure 548 they wouldn't mind getting rid of for reasonable compensation?
