I have the Xenyx 1832FX and am happy with it, (finally a thread where it isn't all bashing Behringer). It is quiet and as others have said really versatile. On this one the effects are really decent, you select a type of reverb etc and most of them have around 10 variations on it. No compressor...

Man all you have to say is Behringer and all the snobs come out. Not everyone has $1,000s to spend and yes if you don't give an example of something else then you are justing being an ass. Once again, I have their gear and am happy, I agree that you should add slowly listening to how it sounds...

Of course as usual the we hate Behringer boys come out, I have the 1832FX with USB and am DAMN happy with it. Quiet, great features and from what I can tell built well (I was a electronics technician for a number of years). :D

Even though all the Behringer haters will light up, try the Behringer B-1 condenser mic, I got one and am really happy with it around $150CDN.

I have an Intel D320 (or Prescot) 2.4 with 1.5 of ram, I just upgraded a month ago from 512, noticed a big difference.

I agree with the others, get it right first, don't try and fix it in the mix. If you have a decent mic and know what you are doing with compression then most put in a "little" reverb. If your mic has some issues (in other words not flat) then a little eq to balance it out is ok. Compression only...

On any pot that turns I use Nu-Trol by MG Chemicals, I worked as an audio technician for years and it was a staple in my shop, just do a Google search and you can find. I don't use it on faders though because it can screw up the smooth feel to it.

You could even try it in another outlet. it could also be a grounding issue.

I had the same problem with Magix, every other recording program was fine, something wierd with the software.

The straight Fender Deluxe Tele will give the twang, the Jaguar won't simple as that, hard to beat the Tele for classic rock and blues rock, my biased opinion.

The Tele is a problem that way, good gating gets the best results.

The only time a guitar sounds decent through line in is if it has no effects, just straight clean guitar. Even my out 2 to mixer from the Digitech pedals isn't as good as to amp and mic it.
