    radio shack mics

I have one of the old PZM mics, not too bad, does anyone know where there are instructions to change it to phantom power?

    behringer mixers

The thing I would really like to know from all these Behringer haters is have they seen or used the stuff made in the last year? These boards and other equipment have improved a great deal from what I have seen, also reviews from people who have actually bought and used Behringer's stuff and...

    Behringer UB FX Pro mixers

I have the Xenyx 1832FX and am happy with it, (finally a thread where it isn't all bashing Behringer). It is quiet and as others have said really versatile. On this one the effects are really decent, you select a type of reverb etc and most of them have around 10 variations on it. No compressor...

    Building a "Behringer homestudio"

Man all you have to say is Behringer and all the snobs come out. Not everyone has $1,000s to spend and yes if you don't give an example of something else then you are justing being an ass. Once again, I have their gear and am happy, I agree that you should add slowly listening to how it sounds...

    Behringer XENYX mixers?

Of course as usual the we hate Behringer boys come out, I have the 1832FX with USB and am DAMN happy with it. Quiet, great features and from what I can tell built well (I was a electronics technician for a number of years). :D

    Which vocal mic around 150?

Even though all the Behringer haters will light up, try the Behringer B-1 condenser mic, I got one and am really happy with it around $150CDN.

How much RAM are you using, 2005.

I have an Intel D320 (or Prescot) 2.4 with 1.5 of ram, I just upgraded a month ago from 512, noticed a big difference.

    ridiculous latency.

Latency Measuring? Maybe a silly question but how can you tell how much latency you are experiencing? Just because I would like to find out how my system is doing.

    improving VOCALS while mixing?

I agree with the others, get it right first, don't try and fix it in the mix. If you have a decent mic and know what you are doing with compression then most put in a "little" reverb. If your mic has some issues (in other words not flat) then a little eq to balance it out is ok. Compression only...

    mixer maintenance

On any pot that turns I use Nu-Trol by MG Chemicals, I worked as an audio technician for years and it was a staple in my shop, just do a Google search and you can find. I don't use it on faders though because it can screw up the smooth feel to it.

    Behringer MX802A Phantom Power Buzz

You could even try it in another outlet. it could also be a grounding issue.

Is there any behringer gear that is "good"?

1832 I got a new Xenyx 1832FX board and am really happy with it, except for the USB issue which is mainly my computer's fault but the DSP is much better than I expected, everything is really clean, good preamps, new "British EQ" don't know specifically what it is but it makes it really easy to...

    Just need y'all opinions

The straight Fender Deluxe Tele will give the twang, the Jaguar won't simple as that, hard to beat the Tele for classic rock and blues rock, my biased opinion.

    amp overtones

The Tele is a problem that way, good gating gets the best results.

direct in or use a mic

The only time a guitar sounds decent through line in is if it has no effects, just straight clean guitar. Even my out 2 to mixer from the Digitech pedals isn't as good as to amp and mic it.

    Vocal & Guitar effects processor

I have an old Boss Pro SE50 that I have been happy with except of course the distortion, I have never seen (heard) a distortion on a DSP that I have been happy with, instead I use stomp boxes from Digitech and Behringer and Yamaha and Korg, you get the idea. Bottom line, turn up my Princeton to...

    NTrack versus Audition

I downloaded it and gave it a try, doesn't have near the features etc. as Audition and I don't use Midi anymore so I guess I will stick with Audition, thanks for your input.
