I generally do them one track at a time. Then I go to file open and make sure autoplay is turned on ,, then I click on each track and listen for the volumes. If I need to adjust one I just pull it up and increase or decrease the gain a little. Thats only if they are just a little off. If...

I prefer after. although I do use a lil gate before. Just enough to shut the mic off until the slightest sound hits the mic. On Bass DI,, I use compression while tracking. Malcolm
