I'm running VST5, a Delta-66 and an AWE64 all together without any problems (it's actually good!). Are you using the Delta ASIO driver for VST? Make sure you have the latest update from MAudio's site. Try messing around with the Delta mixer - make sure you don't have your outputs muted etc...

I don't think it even matters which cards you have installed for using VAC - I'm pretty sure it bypasses all your hardware. The only thing is - it might just be limited to 16bit... and of course even if it isn't - you'll have to have an editor that goes up to 24bit. I really should check it out...

V.A.C doesn't have anything to do with MIDI or with synths - it's only audio. Instead of sending your MIDI synth sound out from your card you just send it to a recording application. (From what I can remember anyway). I'm sure there is a website for it somewhere.

OK... I have a vague idea of what SBM is (magically squeezing more than 16 bit audio onto a CD). There doesn't seem to much info around about - but I've noticed a few CDs make a big point of showing off about it. How is it done? Why is it done? Is it similar to what all those fancy dithering...

Have you ever seen Virtual Audio Cable? This might be worth a shot - it allows you to send your audio output (from your cards MIDI synth) back to pretty much any application... So your card can play directly into Sound Forge or whatever without having to make any appearance in the 'outside...

When using VST5 and ReBirth 2.01 everything is fine - BUT if I have multiple ReWire channels in the VST mixer (eg. 909 Kick/303 1/808 Multi etc)they refuse to save. So when I reopen my songs I have only the L&R ReWire channels in VST - I have to reset any effects I might have had on individual...

The noise (when running the AWE out to the Delta)is minimal, and to be honest can't be heard in a final mix. I guess just knowing the noise is there is what makes me grumble. Thanks for the replies. I didn't think there would be a magic bullet for this problem. (Or is it silver bullet?)

I was just reading the specs for my new Delta66 and noticed that the analog inputs freq response is 22Hz-22kHz. I assume that recording at 96kHz is therefore useless unless I'm using the digital inputs? Also - can anyone suggest the best software to convert 24bit wavs to 16bit (for CD)? Thanks...
