    Headphones

Sennheiser HD490. Awesome headphones. Open though, so you will here outside noises, but very comfortable and and awesome sound quality. Sounds better than anything I've heard before. I posted a pic in http://www.homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=148754 (anyone figured out how to post a...

    Professional keyboard with styles

Take a look at the Ketron SD1. I've heard it, and it sounds good live, it's got the built in styles, you can also make your own. It is a really professional keyboard: sampler, 76 keys, the whole lot really. Take a look at www.ketron.it or www.ketronus.com. I own a Yamaha PSR-2100, which I...

Live: Vox Pathfinder or Roland Cube? :o

I really tend to love the AD30VT, even before I really heard it (although I did listen to the samples on www.voxamps.co.uk, which sounded just like what I wanted) I have read the AD30VT manual on-line, and wow, this amp's features are exactly what I wanted, I certainly like the volume...

Live: Vox Pathfinder or Roland Cube? :o

Ok, thanks! Can you tell anything about the other two amps I mentioned, the AD15VT for example? It has Valvetronix stuff and modelling, wouldn't it be more versatile?

    Mini Amp...

Do you think the Pathfinder 15 is better/worse than the AD15? I am deciding between these basically, for live, micing up with MXL990 into PA Anyone has compared these two?

Live: Vox Pathfinder or Roland Cube? :o

Hi, Lots of threads about these two amps, but not really about playing live... Which would you recommend? I play some distortion chords in my band, so the distortion has to sound good. I play some moderate rock, no heavy metal or stuff ;) My idea was to mic them with my MXL990, or perhaps an...

HOw do you store your Mics?

That's my situation too, I just have all of my keyboards / guitars / mics in my bedroom, and it could get quite humid in the morning if I don't leave my window open at night. Is the temperature change a big deal for the mics? I have also got the 991/990 package...bought at ebay for $80, couldn't...

    Digital Piano Weighted Hammer Action

That was like 4 years ago, but if I remember correctly they were 89 guilders, which would be like $40-50. Really great headphones, I can really recommend them. They sit very comfortable (the earpads are flat and soft), the sound is like you don't know you're wearing headphones - it's really...

    hardcore pickups

The Seymor Duncan active pickups sound quite nice, listen to the audio samples at their website (www.seymouduncan.com). I don't know if that is what you're looking for, but maybe you'll find something you like. Stan.

    18 watt amps

Hi, I've become quite interested in those 18watt.com things, building your own amp  I really like dealing with electronics, and I thhink I've got the skill for it too. but where to start in this case? Buy some sort of kit, or just go to an electronics store and ask for all the...

    Behringer.... Stomp boxes?

Well, as for their Wah-wah pedal which will be released within a few months, they originally stated it was 'modelled after' the most expensive Cry Baby, but they also had to take that off their website :P

    UB1202 Problem

Perhaps the distortion pedal/amp lead channel simply has a far greater output level, which overdrives the mixer and thus adding extra distortion there? So try lowering the volume of your amp / output from the effects pedal? just a thought...

    Behringer.... Stomp boxes?

They're not released yet. Originally, they looked even more like (= exactly like) the Boss ones, but Roland (Boss' 'owner') had sued Behringer for that, so now they look different, and will be released later. But for the price I'm probably going to try some

Acoustic pickup installation - potential problem?

Hi, thanks for all your replies.. The way I see it now is that installing a pickup in my current 12 string will be expensive and painfull, and no succes garantueed, so perhaps a new one would be a better choice, I'll be shopping some time these weeks :) Oh and one little off topic question...

Acoustic pickup installation - potential problem?

Gordone, thanks for correcting me ;) I was going to put new strings on it anyway, but I thought I'd wait with that untill the pickup is in, so I don't have to take the strings off twice... Sort of mixed opinions here, onlyfingers says the neck setup won't help me out, Gordone says it will, I...

Acoustic pickup installation - potential problem?

Hi everyone! I'm thinking of installing a pickup into my Yamaha FG312 Type II, 12 String acoustic guitar. The Fishman Acoustic Matrix NT2 is probably going to be my choice, because I will play at high stage volumes with this guitar. Now I read through the on-line manual for the installation of...

    Which pickup

Does anyone know if the Acoustic Matrix sounds good in a 12 string guitar? It's a Yamaha FG312 Type II, string distance is approx 59mm I have also seen there is an Acoustic Matrix NT 1 and 2, 2 was ment for dreadnoughts, which one should I get? Any thoughts? I can't get any LR Baggs pickups...

    Guitar combo or speaker?

Hi, I've got an electric guitar with a mic/guitar tube preamp, but would I want to connect that to a guitar combo (solid state?), or to a guitar speaker? What impedance is used on guitar speakers, anyway? I guess my preamp just amplifies the guitar signal to Line-level, but is line-level okay...
