Ed, I use Cakewalk. What I have been doing is adding 3db. I can't remember exactly which function does it but it seems to help. Is Normalization a better way to go? Thanks, Steve

You know, I'm, glad you brought it up. I've noticed the same thing. I just thought that the output from the MR-8 to the monitors was higher to start with requiring less amplification from the monitors. I could be 100% wrong though and I'd like to know. Regards, Steve

Does the particular connector have a name? Like Wheelema said, you can build it. I'm sure the connectors are still available even if the cables aren't. There are tons of surplus places that should have it but you'll need the name and/or part number because some of them may not be audio...

I have been using the Simple Tech, 512mb for about 3 months and it works very well. I don't bounce tracks though so I can't comment on that. I take the wave files into my computer and combine tracks there. Has anybody tried the new 1 gig and above CF hard drives? these are currently coming up...

Apparantly Mars sold this different ways. Mine came without cables. I bought one from Mars and the other from Samash.com. I just checked, there weren't shockmounts either. Didn't Marshall have another model that did though? As a matter of fact, the box wasn't designed to hold either. And...

I, too use the AT3035 with classical guitar. I was supposed to record something last weekend but couldn't due to a sinus infection. If I am able to get the recording done within the next week, I will post something. BTW, I record in stereo so it might give a nice contrast. Regards, Steve
