    Your thoughts and a question

All that stuff without a decent soundcard seems a bit of a waste to me. Look into that first. The audiophile 2496 is never a bad choice. Good luck. btw after accidentally double posting you can always edit your post, and then delete it there.. ;)

is the POD worth the money?

V-amp2? I own a V-amp2 myself and it is great. Most people who have both the V-amp and the POD like the V-amp better for the cleaner sounds. Downsides are the plastic cover as opposed the the metal one of the POD. Anyways it is well worth checking out, not only cause it's about one third of...

    Bass Through Behringer V-Amp 2?

Yes, I record my bass always through the V-amp2. It works just fine, you just need to find some decent settings. I like to use the 'Tube Preamp' with some slight flanger. Tweak the mids the bass and the treble untill you come up with what you want.

    Behringer UB502 mixing board

I want to be able to switch between my monitors and headphones in an easy way. The guy at the musicshop said I'd be needing a mixing board for that. Since I'll only be using it for this purpose I thought the cheapest one could do the job and that would be the Behringer UB502 Eurorack model. You...

    guitar help!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's what I did, it just seems safer tho leave these things over to the pro's. It shouldn't cost you that much eather. Also the rattling of (some) strings is quite normal and not a problem as long as it isn't picked up by your amp.

Is my guitar broke? please help!

Well I took the guitar to a tech who told me he could tell on sight that the intonation needed to be fixed. He was also going to check the neck, so I should have it back (hopefully fixed) by tomorrow. I’m sure it is not a manufactoring defect, cause then I would’ve noticed the problem a lot...

Is my guitar broke? please help!

Thanks, some very usefull infomation there. I've tried changing the intonation myself but that didn't help. I actually think the neck has too little bow in it, but I'll be talking the guitar to a tech for that. I can't believe all those years of playing without ever worrying about all the...

    Critique Please

That's some sweet metal indeed, nice work. I listened to the first three. Can't find anything wrong with the mixes on first listen. Not that the other one is bad, but one of those two singers really has an exellent voice btw. keep it up!

Is my guitar broke? please help!

I've been playing a Mexican Fender Telecaster for about two years now and I've always been pretty happy with it. Though recently I seemed to get trouble tuning my guitar. For example, when I've tuned the low E string (with a tuner!), when I play the first fret, I don't get a clean F, but it is...

How can I listen through the headphones when recording?

..wouldn't it be a lot easier if monitors had stereo outs for headphones, just like hi-fi systems or even some computer speakers have, so when you plug in a set of headphones into your monitors, the signal is automatically routed to the phones?

    See Me Through

Nice song, catchy chorus. The mix seems fine to me. I like those harmonies. The lower voice panned left and the higher one right seems to work but only in the chorus. When the higher voice goes solo I'd center it some more. Although they're fine I'd do it like this: higher harmonies on the "I'm...

Amp Modeling Box That Does Both Guitar and Bass?

If you want guitar AND bass, Id go for the guitar V-amp2. You can get some pretty decent bass sounds out of it, clean and distorted or with flanger etc. This is a better option imo cause you'll usually be better of with more guitar effects and less bass effects then the other way around.

Who's Got or Used The Behringer Bass V-Amp?

I tried one out at the musicshop when I was buying a new bass. It sounded pretty sweet. More effects then you'll ever need for bass IMO. I record bass through my regular V-amp2 wich gives some pretty nice results too.

    2nd attempt at recording

Just to sort things out so we can back to your song, the V-amp2 is an amp modeller for electric guitar. You can however use it for bass too, with some exellent results btw. Behringer recently launched a Bass V-amp too. The V-amp certainly does a good job, even compared to the POD which is about...

    Strat Static...Help!

I get this all the time. Whit my computer monitor it's even worse, I have to turn it off to record. If possible, try to keep some distance between your guitar and your amp. I don't think there's much else you could do about it except learn to live with it or buy new gear ;).

    2nd attempt at recording

Cool, you just described MY setup. Sampled drums in Fruity Loops, a telecaster through a V-amp2, I just recently bought my own bass, but before that I also used a friend's, recorded through the V-amp2. I even do vocals through the damn thing. Anyways, as I said earlier; nice song!

    2nd attempt at recording

I like this song, especially the way it progresses. Very soothing. It doesn't even need vocals IMO it's just fine the way it is. Can't give any mix comments as I have to listen through headphones. Keep it up.
