I recently bought a GK head which has a output for 2x16 ohm or 1x8 ohm cabinet. It specifically says not to hook up a 4 ohm cabinet. The cabinet I own is 4 ohms. Is there any way to turn 4 ohms into 8?

I agree with Gidge on mic selection. You'll just have to spend some time working with mic placement until you get a good balance.

'M' means its in a black casing instead of green & gold ('G'). It's the same mic. I paid about $120 before the big price drop. I think they run about $100 now.
