Anyone want me to convert their studio sketches to 3D?

Chuck, awesome rendering!!! dude, sweet! Hey, it's getting nice in there, you'll have to come by sometime. By the way, interior dimensions are 50' x 25' if you want to do it to scale. Call me if you want to visit, we're weeks away now, and it's coming out great.

    couple of window questions

    1) the guy at the store I'm buying glass from tells me safety glass will be better for soundproofing purposes than tempered glass. true or false? 2) I'm angling my windows away from each other. Does the spacing at the bottom between the panes of glass matter much? If they're only an inch...

    RC-2 vs RC-1

After running out of the RC-1 i had ordered from Auralex, i went searching for a local dealer. The guys who knew what i was talking about told me no one uses RC-1 anymore, everyone uses RC-2. So we went with RC-2 the rest of the way. Waaaaay easier to deal with. any performance difference...

    floating floors

i'm just about about reached the point of installing floating floors in my studio, and I'm starting to wonder if there's a compelling reason to float the floor in the control room. I'm floating the floors in the piano room, drum (main room) room and iso booth. It sure would be faster, easier...

Walls before floors? or vice versa?

Transputer, I've got a few boxes of the auralex u-boats, haven't decided on spacing. I've been meaning to check out the Auralex site to find out what they recommend. 32" sounds good to me. I'll report here as i put in the floor, still several weeks away, i guess. I think I'll let the...

Walls before floors? or vice versa?

I'm floating floors on these little U shaped neoprene "U-boats." I've always assumed that the floor would be last, but now i wonder if it really makes any difference. I'm waiting on electrical and HVAC people before i hang drywall, so I could actually be making floor progress while I'm...
