well i switch the pc on in the moring, sometimes its sitting there all day without being used. Putting it on stand by seems like a good idea.

If i put my computer onto stand by and then take it off and try to load up a project in Cubase or load a sample in a standalone player, everything jams up and i have to hit the restart button. anyone know why this is? cheers

wow, the mix sounds great to my ears, really great work!! the only nitpick i can think up is the kick is perhaps to clicky and not boomy enough for my tastes. The music isn't my kind of thing so i cant really comment on it, but it sounds polished!!

I want to shift Drumkit form hell, Spectrasonics Atmosphere and Trilogy to a new hard drive. should i just uninstall them and reinstall on the new hard drive? this wont create any problems will it?

Ended up using the condenser overhead,kick mic and the 57 on the snare. will see how it turns out in a couple of days. im not too optimistic.

i would echo the thoughts on the kick drum lacking a little thud and being just a tad too clicky for my tastes. sounds altogether sweeeeeeet though!!! guitars :D

yeah, i usually include quite a few weird time signatures in most things, i just didn't go there with this for some reason. The dynamics point you've all made is a very good one. Although i think its hard to achieve with this type of song in the way you've mentioned, something to work on for...

out of interest, what did you do to achieve that snare sound exactly?
