how about pretty please? :P

in that case...

Dude i really cant nitpick at that, it seriously sounds like a professional job. Insane work my friend.

wow, the mix sounds great to my ears, really great work!!

the only nitpick i can think up is the kick is perhaps to clicky and not boomy enough for my tastes.

The music isn't my kind of thing so i cant really comment on it, but it sounds polished!!

Wow, great job Blor007! You have definitely nailed that punk/power/pop sound. Blink 182 watch out!

Great effort bro'. I didn't hear anything jumping out as "wrong". Wish I had your skills. ;)

big

I'm with jamtheguitarman re the bass drum.
Oh, the hard panned intro doesn't quite work for me & the tempo change is a little too 182 but if I blink I miss it.
Otherwise this is an excellent slice of power pop.

I am not gonna go with the flow here. I really like the bass drum sound! The panned intro sounds kinda messy to me though. Otherwise you hit the nail on the head for genre.

Lol thx for the reply's

I still have to find some nice samples for the kick and snare drum.
Some are shipping in in 3-5 days. (steven slate)

I'm still wondering what I could do to move to the next level, guess practise makes perfect ;)
(and extra gear helps too ;) )

I feel like the gutiars sounded bad at first but filled out at the end.

I dont personally like the snare drum but I guess its prefrence. What did you use to track the drums? You say drum samples? You used a kick pedel switch?(or whatever it is called)

I liked the panned intro.

Keep on truckin'

Everybody's stuff is so good. Is there a forum where incompetent guitar hacks who can't record for shit can hang out?

I didn't use samples (yet).

For recording:

BETA52(fake) inside the basdrum pointing at the beater
SM57 on the snare, snare under, tom1 and floor tom
OL: AKG C1000
OR: Shure SM94
Hi-hat: Studio Projects C1 (don't have another condenser then this one ;) )

kick and snare trough gyraf gyratec and then through soundtracs mr24 pre-amps (yeah huge! mistake)
At that time I didn't even know how to hook up a pre-amp lol.
The rest trough soundtracs mr24 pre-amps ;)

I have no idea what a pedel switch is but he used an Iron Cobra dubble bass.

yeah, that's excellent...

one comment is the guitars just seem a bit weak.

but great man... :D

Yep - it's a good one...... :) The previous posts have covered everything pretty much....nothing to add.....Just want to echo the fact that it's a great tune.....

Well compared to highly professional recordings, everything sounds a bit weak.
Any ideas to make them have more bite would be appreciated.

I had them tracked in high and low distortion but adding the high distortion makes them go further back.

Any tips on mixing or recording or producing would help alot.

Gibson Les Paul Studio and Telecaster --> Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier --> ENGL Case

Signal chain: SM57, Sennheiser (forgot the type) and Studio Projects C1 through MR24. Slight 1k boost for more body and 10k boost for sizzle.

Very catchy. My only nit is the intro, its too long for my tastes. Nice production values. :)
