The KRK monitors I was looking into to get is for the future when I can pay for them. I was just asking you guys questions about it to make sure what I do with it, how to connect things, what I need.
It doesn't matter anyway. With the help of going into guitar center I got it worked out and...
Yeah I already checked phantom power turned on.
Okay the mic is detected. I adjusted the knob so when I sing at times being loud, it lights up occasionally. So it looks like that my Boss RC-30 is working, but I'm just doing something wrong.
Because when I do click the left pedal as read on...
So for those who have a Boss RC-30, or don't but somehow know a solution to this, I have a problem... I turned on my Boss RC-30 and wanted to record on my pedal I just got. So I click the left pedal.. I realize that when I click it again, I'm not making any sound at all with it. THEN I...
Yeah I'm just gathering information about certain things I need to do. Just not too knowledgable for the time being about this in general. Just gotta bare with my newbness.
Thanks guys! (time to make a new thread with a huge problem)
Which would you rather do? I don't have both, and when I type 1/4 to RCA on Amazon, only dual kinds show up. I'm not sure if I could use those. I'm trying to find single unless dual ones work too.
Okay I'll look for some TS to TS cables as well probably!
Yeah I'm just checking the RC-30's out.
I see.. well I would use TS to TS cables, but on the KRK Monitors, the input is labeled TRS Balanced...
BUT it does have an RCA input, so how about a 1/4" to phono adapter instead?
would that be the safer route to go?
The KRK Rokit Monitors have XLR, TRS and RCA inputs.
The Boss RC-30 has 2 outputs and I'm not sure I could put TRS cables in them. Can you plug TS cables into TRS inputs? or vice versa with no problems whatsoever?
If so, should I get a TRS to TRS cable to plug one side to the output of my Boss...
Yeah I saw haha. Check out my post. I'm not sure where to find a certain plug for the L output jack to see if it'll turn on. I guess that's all I'm worried about right now.
"Turning On the Power:
Inserting a connecting plug into the OUTPUT L jack turns on
the power to the unit."
OHHHHHH!!! that must be it!!!!!!!!!!! thank you dude!!
but the thing is, I don't know what to use to turn it on.. is there anything simple I can plug in to at least test that it's...
I tried battery, but it doesn't work. I don't know what the deal is. And I was told it was working fine before it got shipped to me, so it has to be working. I guess someone with a Boss RC-30 themselves would know... if anyone is out there with one :/...
the adapter I have is a 1 Point Power...
So my Boss RC-30 just arrived, and I'm not sure how you turn it on. I don't think it's broken because the condition is great.. but I plugged in my power adapter, my XLR microphone, and speaker aux input.. yet after plugging those all in, it still doesn't turn on. Any ideas guys?
(I've been...
Yeah.. that's a struggle :/.. maybe was focusrite but idk. I'm still loving this preamp/audio interface. Great recommendation from this site when I was looking for one. Thanks for the help again man. You've helped me a lot with all my bunches of newb like questions. I appreciate it!
First i restarted my computer. Then I opened audition and put it to ASIO. I opened up this separate window and it gave me audio options. I forget what the window is called, but I remember it had a tool symbol on the bottom right of it. All I did was turn on some switches that weren't on, and on...
I plan to purchase this in the far future, but just have a few noob questions for you guys.
1) Nothing to do with sound system, but with my Taylor GS Mini, if I buy a K&K pure mini and install, do regular guitar cables work with them?
now on to the other questions haha
2) I'm an acoustic...
Update: I just realized my focusrite 2i4 is a preamp so I don't really need to look into getting a preamp if I need one... I guess preamps and audio interfaces are pretty much the same? Or well some could have a preamp built in it and some not. Someone correct me if I'm wrong haha
