I'll try updating the firmware as per your instructions-but as I stated in my first post (i think), it doesn't connect either way. I also tried uninstalling my inspire drive, but it keeps telling me that there's another installation taking place so it can't unintall it now.

would that be fixed if i removed my port for my firewire and reinstalled it with the updated version?

i have a studio made in 93', and an 04' standard. i love them both, and it just depends on what you like i guess. when i bought the standard, i played every LP for sale in Calgary (about 40 or more), and i didn't like any of them with the exception of the one i bought.

if i had the mic's, and other hardware required, i'd do bed tracks of everything. then overdub as i saw fit. but seeings how i can only do one at a time, i just do what ever i feel is right for the situation
