hi im a little confused by the manual and something you said,you can mix down right onto the fd-8 as though it were a as you said "virtual dat, or cd burner"? if you can could you explain how? im using a zip 250 if that helps you answer my question thanks alot

well i figured it out so if anyone else has this problem they can fix it without getting all stressed. it turns out that i couldnt hear track seven cause i had a compressor plugged in the insert and it wasnt turned on. when i unplugged it track seven was audible thanks

thats the thing i AM bouncing to REAL track seven and i still cant use my fader, just the monitor knob will let me hear it. and i can see on the level meter that there IS something on the track i bounced to im pretty frustrated any help would be greatly appreciated thanks again

hi you didnt use a preamp with the rode? you must have just used phantom power huh? anyways i use a akg c1000 and it sounds great. i mean for what im doing i dont think that a really expensive mic is needed i want it to sound good but its not like theyll be playing my demos on the radio anytime...

hello everyone, i am using a fd-8 with a zip 250,in the manual it reads you may format the disk in 2 modes 'normal' and 'master'. the later is uncompressed i believe. my question is does anyone use this type of format, and is there a noticable difference? thanks in advance
