i have a digitl 8 track (fostex) and id like more tracks...if i get another fd-8...is there a way i can sync them up using some kind of device? 16 tracks to work with would be great...even if i COULD sync them up....how would i go about mixing down to a dat...id have two sets of stereo outs...

ive been thinking of selling my fd-8 (i use the zip drive) and buying the new Vf-16 because it has more tracks...but it comes standard with a hard drive. ive heard a few people say that they have had problems with the fostex hard drives. should i be nervous getting into the new 16 track? i think...

i have an fd-8 and the controls do seem a little wimpy huh?i guess ya get what ya pay for or so they say..so im not gonna worry about it until something actually breaks..but over all im pretty happy with my machine and actually look forward to the new fostex VF-16

yeah..ya know what else looks cool? theres actually 16 faders..pretty cool...i called fostex and the tech said he wasnt sure about how many bits it was lol...oh well...i DO know that it has built in compression and eq for each channel AND a master eq and comp for the overall mix...it sounds...

hey...have any of you heard about the new digital 16 track coming out from fostex...the VF-16? sounds pretty cool..built in compression...and a large hard drive..all for a list price of around $1400..ihave the FD-8 right now and would love the extra 8 tracks...anyone else read anything about this?
