question about synching...

i have a digitl 8 track (fostex) and id like more tracks...if i get another fd-8...is there a way i can sync them up using some kind of device? 16 tracks to work with would be great...even if i COULD sync them up....how would i go about mixing down to a dat...id have two sets of stereo outs

Chances are two units will sync.
I know my VS880 and 1680 will.
Secondly, you can send the two outputs of the second, submixed to two inputs of the first.
