I had this problem with my laptop aswell. But when I loaded it into my desktop (which is a decent computer) there were absolutely no problems. I don't think it would be Reaper, but my laptop didn't handle recording well... maybe yours doesn't either? Hope this helps in some way. :)

Ah sick, that sounds cool. I've experimented with ReaVerb a little bit, but never really got anything noticably cool sounding. But I'm a bit of a nub to Reaper, so it's expected. How do I work chorus/delay/is there a place I can read up on this?
