So far i have a boss br-532 4-track. Isn't there a way to sync them up so I only have to hit record/play on one of them? Can analog 4 tracks be synced up? I need this for writing more so then for making a demo so quality isn't really a concern. The last thing I want to do is buy a million...

the other instruments are probabily changing the sounds of the guitars. Since adding 2 more tracks is burying the rest. Why dont you try changing how the other things are EQed instead of the guitars?

Yeah i recorded them direct. Its the only method I have available.

Say for instance that I have a rhy guitar, bass, and drums. On the chorus I want to add a lead guitar, but only on the chorus. - I record the lead guitar with a different EQ - when the chorus starts the sound of the entire song changes - when the chorus ends the sound of the entire song...

How do you record an instrumental melody on the chorus? How do you mix it? Mine always stands out like a sore thumb.

So pretty much I can't just hit play on the 4-track and record on vegas and get 4 seperate tracks on vegas?

I thought that if you couldn't play in time then you could forget about being on a major label...

Who cares about the mix. Its about the song. Im not trying to be a mixing artist. Anyways its recorded all D/L since I recorded it for my band. On a 4-track. If you really work for a record company then you would know that its your job to get the song mixed and recorded properly.

Actually 1-2 beers shut down the slowest part of your brain. Since any machine can only operate as fast as its slowest part; the higher thought processes of the brain can function more quickly after 1-2 beers. This is why some people may feel smarter after having a couple of drinks. More then 2...

the recording is good but it takes to long to get to the chorus; or its kindda of repetative on the way there.
