Whats wrong with this mix?

The drum machine track sits pretty well in the mix, although it's a bit muffled. Try a boost around 10k for some brilliance. The guitars are the main problem with this recording in my opinion; I think it's the way they were recorded. Mind telling us how you recorded them? They sound as if they were recorded direct to me - no "balls".

Yup, what Fatt said. The guitars are overly distorted and anemic. They don't make the speakers move, ya know. Good playing, though. Needs a drummer.
 
Yeah i recorded them direct. Its the only method I have available.
 
Bass sounds boomy & guitars sound thin, I think some EQ would do good for this mix.
